Away-less: the path of waste - part 1 (2024)

Objects do not become waste the moment they are thrown away. Before reaching that point, they pass through a series of almost unconscious gestures—crumpling, folding, tearing, and compressing. These small actions quietly mark the beginning of an object's transformation.

This work translates those physical gestures into ceramic forms. Embedded within concrete modules, the distorted surfaces preserve traces of human actions that usually disappear unnoticed. Visitors are invited to sit, step, and touch the work. Through these ordinary interactions, the objects continue to accumulate new traces, suggesting that waste is not a fixed condition but a process shaped by repeated gestures.
